Local Executives Bring Decades of Experience to Statewide Healthcare Leadership

Three esteemed healthcare professionals from Dothan have been appointed as Members-at-Large to the Alabama Hospital Association (AlaHA) Board of Trustees, marking a significant recognition of their contributions to the medical community.

 

Jeff Brannon, currently serving as Vice President of Business Development at Flowers Hospital, brings over 40 years of healthcare experience. Beginning his career as a patient care technician, Brannon advanced to roles including registered nurse in the intensive care unit, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Executive Officer before assuming his current position.

 

Margaret Futch has dedicated more than three decades to the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dothan. Her leadership roles have included President of the Southeast Regional Hospital Council and Chair of AlaHA’s Rehab Constituency Section, reflecting her extensive expertise in healthcare management.

 

Keith Granger, a Trustee at Flowers Hospital, previously led as President and CEO of Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, overseeing the development of a state-of-the-art facility. Prior to that, he served as CEO of Flowers Hospital for 17 years, demonstrating a longstanding commitment to healthcare excellence.

 

“These individuals bring invaluable experience and strategic insight to our Board,” stated Donald E. Williamson, MD, President of the Alabama Hospital Association. “Their dedication will undoubtedly strengthen our efforts to enhance healthcare across Alabama.”

In related news, the Association recently honored Robert “Bob” Dumas as the 2025 Trustee of the Year for his exceptional service to East Alabama Health, highlighting the organization's ongoing recognition of leadership excellence within the state's healthcare sector.
